Upgrading My Developer Machines To MacOS Big Sur, Using Homebrew To Upgrade PHP To Version 7.4

The upgrade went surprisingly well except that Apple experienced some server problems for a few hours after the release.

I upgraded my old dev machine, a 2014 11-inch MacBook Air first, and then I upgraded my current dev machine, a 2020 27-inch iMac.

I confirmed the warning that Apple would be removing PHP, and was a little sad that it was still PHP 7.3.

Later I used Homebrew to install PHP version 7.4.

Homebrew updated and upgraded without warnings for this purpose.
